KORVEDA have developed ENZYKOR, containing eight declared enzyme activities
ENZYKOR allows nutritionists to formulate feeds based primarily on digestible amino acids, whilst fiber should no longer be considered a limiting factor. Feed enzymes improve digestibility of feed ingredients. They lower the viscosity of intestinal contents and unlock nutrients that are entrapped in the plant cell structures. Therefore, more energy is released from the feed and more amino acids become available, which can be ascribed to the enzyme product
SOLUTION
The efficacy of Non-starch-polysaccharide (NSP) enzymes, such as xylanase
β-glucanase and cellulase, has been studied intensively. NSP enzymes lower intestinal viscosity, allowing high inclusion of small grains (wheat or barley). However, variation in the overall content and bioavailability of carbo- hydrates, fats, proteins, and amino acids in feeds, has led to the development of various enzymes designed to liberate unavailable nutrients. To gain full benefit from diets with high level of anti-nutritional factors (ANFs) and fibers, a multi enzyme system that contains both NSP-enzymes as well as α- galactosidase, β-mannanase and pectinase, may be of great interest
Moreover, especially in young animals such as broilers, production of endogenous enzymes may not yet be sufficient. therefore, a protease and α-amylase supplementation may be needed to maximize the utilization of proteins and starch. This will improve animal performance and health.
